Where the watermark comes from
TikTok stores two versions of every upload. The one the app plays for you is clean; the one the in-app Save button produces has the animated logo and the creator handle stamped on top.
That stamped version is what most downloaders return, because it is the easiest to reach. This one requests the clean master TikTok streams to its own player, which is why the file looks the same as it does in the app.
Removing a watermark afterwards does not work
